Writers Weapons Workshop
Are you concerned that your characters don't choose or use their weapons properly? Would you like to ensure that your storyline isn't derailed by a technical gaffe that turns your readers off completely? Tired of reading Blogs about how terrible writers are with the technical mistakes they make? We have the solution for you.
LMOLLC has been at the forefront of weapons use and training for over three decades. We work hard to present the trusted technical journals on firearms that the real user community reads every month- Small Arms Review magazine and Small Arms Defense Journal, as well as supplying the top-tier armorer/operator training on most small arms systems in the US inventory, and foreign weapons. We work behind the scenes with movie & documentary companies, with many film credits behind us, and are considered one of the top resources in the world for information about small arms.
How can this help you, the writer? Now that we have decided to open a door to civilian writers, we can help in many ways.
We are offering a three-day course at our facility in Henderson, Nevada, that covers the small arms in use around the world for the last century and earlier if requested. Rest assured this is not just for high-adrenaline male attendees, this course is geared towards the novice around firearms, to help them truly understand and write more accurately when weapons are in their stories.
Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, silencers, machine guns, concealed weapons, pen guns, cane guns, spy gear, rocket launchers, RPGs, inert grenades, you name it, and it will be safely on hand for your examination. The 3500 piece LMO Working Reference Collection, one of the most inclusive special weapons collections in the world, will be open for your viewing.
Our course covers the basics of ballistics, how things really work, history, technology, and perception regarding firearms choice, training, and use. On the afternoon of the last day, we will retire to the range and there will be a demonstration of silenced weapons, machine guns, sniper rifles, and basically whatever firearms the attendees would like to see in action.
Once you enroll, we encourage you to send us questions you have, and subjects you would like covered in more detail, so that we may better focus the presentation to the attendee's needs. Class size is limited due to the quality of the presentation needed, so please contact us quickly. After we gather the responses- including when the best time for you to attend, we will schedule the courses.
