Buying Movie Guns

by jmac — last modified 2004-07-10 20:47

LMO is not the first company to ever sell a movie use firearm, and won't be the last, however, I am seeing some pure BS out there. I have seen MGs that were supposed to be from Stembridge Gun Rentals, with all different kinds of movies assigned to them, and I have to tell you, I got all of those guns that came out in the last three years, and have my records as well.

Here's the offer. If you are looking at a firearm represented as coming from Stembridge Gun Rentals, I have all the serial numbers of everything we did at LMO, and the other Title I firearms as well. Email me the particulars and I will check and see if it went through our database. I need the serial number.

Stembridge had sold some guns at other times, but not many, and if there is some legitimacy to a claim predating our transactions, I will forward the info to Syd to verify it.

Essentially, some unscrupulous people are marketing some falsified documentation on firearms and movie prop items. I can't verify everything, but I CAN let you know if it was legit to the deals that I did.

There is no charge for me doing this, I just ask that you give me a couple of days to check it out for you. - Dan Shea
