AK & PKM Operator/Armorer 2 days Class Cost $450March 26-27 / July 9-10 / November 5-6, 2012 These two reliable systems have been the primary weapons our soldiers have faced for decades. Today, they are used by many of our friends across the water. These are by far the most prolific small arms in the world and there have been tens of millions made. In many ways, the AK and PKM systems are truly a work of art. The AK class is combined with the PKM so you can see the similarities of these systems and work on both. The AK is strictly a magazine feed weapon, the PK series is a belt fed. This course covers the DS/GS level disassembly and reassembly of the AK & PKM and its variants. Instructors use “hands on” repetitive training techniques to engage the student in understanding the technical aspects of the weapon system. Safety and warning precautions for the weapon system are stressed heavily throughout the course. The technical specifications, functions checks, and common repair of the weapon will be covered fully and all students will leave with a thorough knowledge and understanding of the weapon system. Following successful completion of the course, the student will be awarded an Armorers/Operators Completion Certificate rated for two (2) years, along with technical and general operator manuals and data to ensure continued reference material for later use.
