AK & PKM 2 days Class

November 8-9, 2010 Cost $450.00

These two reliable systems have been the primary weapons our soldiers have faced for decades. Today, they are used by many of our friends across the water. These are by far the most prolific small arms in the world, there have been tens of millions made. In many ways, the AK and PKM systems are truly a work of art. The AK class is combined with the PKM so you can see the similarities of these systems and work on both. The AK is strictly a magazine feed weapon, the PK series is a belt fed. In this class we will start with an overview of the class goals, then move into identification of the components of the system, and then into practical (hands on) training. Students will be taught field stripping, lubrication procedures and the appropriate cleaning requirements for different environments. Students will be trained in teaching operator inspection of the weapon. When everyone is proficient, we will move into armorer disassembly and analysis as well as troubleshooting. Training on inspection and maintenance of the components, then reassembly of the firearms and full function checks are emphasized. The class will be finalized with proper gauging techniques so that you know the condition of the firearms under your control. GP25/30 Soviet style 40mm may be included.
